OSMOSIS REVISED shows two pure colours, blue and white, colliding or peeling away from each other in mid air. What happens between these colours is the self-applied mark making that is based on the experiments that have been altered during my LIVEBOAT Residency. OSMOSIS REVISED not only reveals my working method but also explores my interest in materiality and the constitution of [a] painting in relation to differences between two-dimensional and four-dimensional form. Questioning the physical fundamental elements of a painting is central to my practice. My work exudes an interest in the exploration of the expanded field of painting, neither entirely painting nor sculpture but an extension of the medium. Through this approach of working, I am exploring the act of a painting becoming a material.
